The Jaguar networking community of alumni, friends and supporters sharing ideas and information, volunteering support to the campuses where needed and serving as alumni stewards focused on enhancing Southern University's reputation in your community.

How Can I Join the Jaguar Connection?

Visit the website or contact the Office of Alumni Affairs at 225-771-4200.   Membership in the JAGUAR CONNECTION IS FREE .   All we need is your name, address and contact information (telephone and email address).

*receive monthly E Newsletter (JAG CONNECT ) and updates about what's happening at Southern University.

* Network with fellow Jaguars in educational and social settings to enhance, preserve and protect the future of Southern University

* Alumni Mentoring Program - Opportunities to Mentor young alumni through the Student Alumni Association and serve campus departments as Honorary Alumni Representatives.

* Distinguished Alumni Program -Participate in and receive special recognition during University events (i.e., Graduation, Founders Day, SU Legislative Day, Freshman Welcomes and Orientations, Homecoming)

* Support the Office of Alumni Affairs' Student Assistance Program with contributions to assist students with tuition, books and other educational needs

*Serve as Alumni Recruiters for Southern University referring and recommending the best students.

*Access to the Southern University Alumni News Network –a monthly compilation of alumni accomplishments, highlights and life changes. Submit your alumni news online or send it with your class year and discipline to the Office of Alumni Affairs.

*The SU Alumni Global Travel Program - travel with fellow Jaguars to exotic destinations and athletic events, all designed to encourage alumni involvement and rekindle that “Old Southern Spirit”.
